*****MUD WRESTLING*****

So I got my white Christmas, YEA!!! but then it went away :( Almost all the snow melted over night and there is mud everywhere! The weather is warm too. It was in the lower 30's. Too warm for December I think.
.
Anyways, we went out to the farm today and the boys ended up fighting, AGAIN :)
.
It may look like Lowell lost because he has more mud on him but he actually took Ross down. He had him pinned really good until Ross rubbed mud on his face. They are lucky it was nice out or they would have froze in the mud. It was a lot of fun.
.
Liberty didn't like the mud so she watched from the car :) Lowell Ross No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you. Eric is actually clean. He didn't take part in this fight. I was surprised too. I really thought he would just dive right in :)Jordan wasn't in the fight either but he was muddy and so cute :)

Christmas Pictures

Christmas was a lot of fun at our house. Lowell, Grandma and the boys all came out to see us. We had LOTS of yummy food and we watched movies. They weren't Christmas movies but they were fun anyways. We watched the new Indiana Jones movie. Kind of strange. As far as action movies go, it was good, but i didn't really think aliens fit in an Indiana Jones film...too weird. Then we watched Liberty's new Looney Toons movie. Very entertaining. The old cartoons are always the best I think.
.
Christmas morning started out bright and early...ok maybe 10 or 11ish :) We opened presents and then I started cooking anything I wanted fresh, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole, all the other sides I made ahead of time. Lowell cooked the turkey.
.
The evening ended with the boys wrestling, as do all of our evenings together :)
.
Eric and Liberty, I could not get her to smile for my camera at all. It was driving me nuts. She definitely had a good day even if she wouldn't smile for me.
Eric and his new sweatshirt from my mom.
This is the airplane Grandma got Liberty. She loved playing with it.
My new hat! Is this the coolest Santa hat or what?
Liberty's Christmas tantrum. She tried to open a present that didn't have her name on it. I took it away and she got mad :) This was the only time she cried. She was happy the rest of the day.
This was definitely Liberty's favorite present. It is a Tinkerbell table and chair set. She has been coloring on it and rearranging the chairs and moving it around the living room ever since she opened it.
I love this picture. We put in one of her new movies for her and she just got comfy on the couch :)
All my boys :)
This will probably be our Christmas card next year :)

Snow Pictures

First of all let me start by saying...Waaa Waaa Waaa :(
.
Liberty doesn't like the snow !?!
.
She took one look at it this morning and went back inside. She wouldn't play in it at all. She went inside ripped off her shoes and coat, wrapped herself in a blanket on the couch and watched Shrek. She didn't even watch me from the window when I went outside. She had no interest. Again I say,
.
WaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaa!
.
Mean old Cowboy probably got to her first. He is such a wuss. He hates anything cold...
.
I went to the doctor this afternoon to have Liberty and I checked out. Turns out we both have ear infections in BOTH ears. Arrrggg...Thankfully, the infections are easy to take care of. We were both given antibiotics and the doctor says the infections should be completely gone by early next week. This morning (before we went to the doctors) Liberty was already feeling better. She didn't have a fever (first time in three days) and she has been smiling all day, until I got out my camera :)
.
We didn't see our normal doctor today. He was busy. The one we did see kept asking me questions about my pregnancy even though we were there for our bad colds. Turns out my doctor will be going on vacation and he's afraid I will be giving birth early so he warned all the other doctor's that's I'll probably be coming in. I know all the other doctors there are good but I am a little uneasy knowing he's going to be gone. I know him the best and I trust him. It's kind of hard to imagine that someone else could be delivering my baby. She made it a point to tell me that she would be on call over Christmas so she will be there if I need her...I think she thinks I'm going to pop soon. I guess we'll see.
.
On to the pictures, Finally I got to take some pictures of the snow. I'm still sick so my time outside was limited but I got a few.
.
This is the first picture in like FOREVER that I got of me and Berti where she is smiling AND looking at the camera. I am so so so so happy about it. It is immediately my favorite picture of the year :)
Once in the car, we had Liberty bundled up to save her from the cold. She was giggling and playing but she put on a serious face when I took out my camera. Still a cutie though. When we were picking up our medicine in Geneva, it started to snow. Very pretty. I loved it. Unless there is a heatwave in the next couple days, I am guaranteed a white Christmas. I'm so happy. This picture is making me very happy today. Not because it turned out well. Clearly it is very blurry but I took this picture from a rather large distance and it was windy. I think if I had a tripod to steady the camera, this picture would have been perfect. I'm very excited to see how well my zoom works...for those of you who can't tell, this is Ross's horse out in the snow :)

Early Morning to you

Good early morning (or possibly very late night) to all you blog readers. It is about four and I'm up due to a mix of insomnia, the bad cold I have that just won't go away, and the horrible swelling in my legs (No, not a typo, it is my whole legs that swell up not just the ankles). I was using this time alone to do laundry but Liberty (who I have given my cold to, poor thing) woke up really crabby so now we are watching Shrek together.
.
Shrek seems to be all she likes now days. First thing in the morning, she grabs a Shrek DVD. And of course we never watch them in order. We always start with the last one and work our way to the first. I think these movies would be great if I hadn't been forced to watch them everyday since Thanksgiving :)
.
I guess I shouldn't complain too much. I get to do a lot of other things when those movies are on. It's horrible to say but I'm starting to understand the people that use television as a babysitter. It's a habit I'm going to have to break her of I know.
.
I just found out today that I will be cooking dinner for everyone this Christmas. And I only have 4 days to prepare. I wouldn't mind so much if I knew from the beginning. After all, I do love to cook, but everyone agreed a long time ago that since I'm very close to popping, that they would have someone else do the work. But nope. It's all me now. Let's just say I'm not to happy about it and I am feeling more than willing to let a couple of farm boys go hungry. I think mac and cheese would be a great Christmas dinner, don't you? :)
.
I'm kidding of course. They will get a good meal out of me. I just hate doing everything last minute. And since I'm stuck in the house til I'm over my cold, Cowboy will be doing all of the shopping and he never gets it right. Even when I make a list and tell him specifically what I need, he comes home with the complete opposite... Maybe it's a guy thing :)
.
I feel like the next few weeks are going to be very hectic for me. Christmas dinner of course. My sister (Emma) is coming down on the 29Th. I'm very excited to have her come and stay with us. The 29Th is also my next doctor's appointment, plus our five year anniversary. No, we don't have anything planned. I know five years is supposed to be one of the big ones but I can't imagine getting dressed up or going anywhere nice when you're the size of a house :)
.
Cowboy's birthday is the 31st. I have no idea what we're going to do for him. I'm thinking of just sending him out with his friends. I'm sure they'll have a lot more fun then if they were stuck around the house. Then of course after that (hopefully before) our new little mini cowboy will arrive :) Ha ha, Oh I am counting the days.
.
Emma got us a new crib which we will be putting together this weekend. Our new car seat is ordered and we should have it sometime next week. The baby's bag is packed and ready to go. I have the cutest outfit to bring him home in. Of course it is gender neutral so if the baby is a girl, it will still be cute. I still haven't picked out any names. This morning I was so upset I threw out my list. Now I get to start all over :) There are lots of names that I like but nothing jumps out and says "pick me" Girls names yes, but not boys names. Boy names are such a pain.
.
Anyways I've been babbling on for quite awhile and it looks as if Liberty is falling asleep, so I'm going to try and go to bed too. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Hopefully Berti and I will feel well enough to take some pictures for you this week.
.
Oh, and if I don't get on again to say it, "MERRY CHRISTMAS"

Due Date Change

For those who are paying attention, Yes, I have changed my due date from the 21st to the 14th of January. The reason for this change is because the doctor has scheduled my c-section for the 14th and no later. Both my doctor and I think that I won't make it even that long and the day will be closer to new years. But if everything goes well from now on, It will be the 14th. Which means I have four weeks or less left. I'm so excited. My baby will be here soon!!!

Sorry no snow pictures yet. I'm sick and I'm not allowed outside until I get better :( It's for my own good I know.

Finally, a great ending to a pretty bad weekend

Ok, let's start with the bad. Our furnace broke down. And it wasn't something fixable. We had to replace the whole unit. Now it turned out to be a bit pricey but that wasn't the worst part. It turns out our kind of furnace is rare and nobody has them on hand. They have to be special ordered. We moved Liberty into our room and set up a little space heater. It worked pretty well, It's just the rest of the house that was freezing. We were out of heat from late Wednesday night until about 3:30 Monday afternoon. 5 whole days! And it was cold! Why can't heaters ever break down in the summer time? :)
*
Needless to say I got (and still am) sick. I haven't been able to breathe out of my nose since Friday. I woke up this morning and I could breathe perfectly. I was so happy. I went and took a shower and when I got out I was somehow stuffed up again. I don't mean to be gross but I would really love to know how a person can possibly how so much snot in there head. Really, I have no idea where I'm storing it all. I've already gone through 5 boxes of tissues.
*
To make matters worse, Our town chose this week to chlorinate the water so I can't drink anything. I can't make tea or juice because the chlorine is so strong and I can't drink milk because it seems to make my congestion worse. I have to buy pop at the local bar and the carbonation is not doing my sore throat any favors.
*
Ok, enough complaining about me, now to the good news.
Today I woke up and there was SNOW!!!! It actually covered the ground. It's beautiful! I haven't taken any pictures yet but you can be sure I will be posting a lot of them later :)

Getting ready for Christmas

I finished most of my Christmas shopping on Saturday. I had a lot of it done already, so all I picked up was some wrapping paper and a few gift bags. Now I have everything wrapped up and ready to go. The only person I haven't gotten gifts for is my husband. I'm still not even sure of what to get him. He isn't really hard to shop for. He's just too simple. And I am sick of giving him the same things every year. I should get his shopping done next week and then I will be completely done, Yea!!!!
*
Well... done with the shopping anyways. I haven't done hardly any decorating. My nativity scenes are both out but that's about it. I have boxes of decorations out in my living room and no tree to put them on. I have no idea when Eric will be bringing the tree in so I can set it up. I also need to remind myself to get ink so I can print up my Christmas cards. I would like to send them out next week. It seems next week is my goal deadline for everything. It should be acheivable. I would like to get everything done with quickly so I can just sit back and be lazy for the rest of the month :)
*
We spent Saturday afternoon out at the farm and it was cold! Still no snow :( Just cold air and lots of wind. Liberty had a lot of fun following Ross around and playing with the dogs. I didn't expect it to be so cold so I hadn't gotten her any gloves yet. Her hands were cold and she kept rubbing them together. It was sad and cute at the same time.

Thanksgiving Pictures Part 4

Oh, bittersweet goodbyes...No I'm not going to break into song or recite a poem :)
I had a truly great time. It is always sad when we have to say goodbye. I was only able to stop from crying because I know I'll being seeing everyone again, some after the baby is born and others this summer. We love you all so much!
