Boat/Dock

I know I’ve just been dumping our vacation photos for you to see but these first four require a little story telling. For years I have been trying to get photos of dolphins. We see them all the time but I’ve never gotten a photo. Now Manatees I have never seen and I just assumed they went too far under water for us to see. Well one morning I went down to the dock to sit and enjoy the breeze. I heard a splash close by and thought sweet, I’m getting my dolphin photo. I was so glad I had a camera in my back pocket. I took it out and started to watch. I saw a large object under the water moving towards the dock. For a second I thought it was a dolphin until it got closer and I noticed it was way too big and clearly the wrong shape. I realized it was a manatee and started screaming “mom, mom, mom, mom” I’m sure I bothered the neighbors. I was loud but mom didn’t hear me from inside the house. I followed the manatee all the way to the end of our dock where it surfaced for air (I was screaming the whole time) It was the coolest thing I have ever seen and I’m so happy I had a camera on me at the time.

oh and the photos at the bottom of this post aren’t edited. My hair really is that bright red when I’m in the right light. And the awesome sun hat I’m wearing (and liberty's wearing) was homemade by my mom, isn’t she awesome
