Miranda Lambert

Was amazing as usual. I went with my friend Mary and her friend Jasmine. Now it turns out that Mary does not mess around when she gets her tickets. She gets the pit or nothing at all. She said she would be mad to get floor seats :) The pit is so amazing! I could not believe how close we were to the stage. I haven’t been that up close to a performer since my dad was touring. The concert was really good. The first openers name had something to do with dj-ing and rednecks. I wish I remembered more but their names weren’t on the ticket. They were really good actually. The second opener was Derks Bentley (I’m almost positive I spelled his name wrong. Sorry) I wasn’t to thrilled about him but he surprised me. His performing is just as good as he is handsome… and he is one handsome man. Miranda was great. She had a little bit of a slow start. She forgot one of the verses to one of the first songs she sang but after that she was all awesome as usual.
I only took one shot of the opening band. It’s a close up because I wanted to see if I could get good tattoo detail since I was so close to the stage. Turns out I can. It’s awesome  :) All these photos were taken of the performer on the stage no big screens here. I’m still geeking out about how close we got. It’s so awesome!

This photo was taken without any zoom. That’s my friend Mary’s phone in my shot. That’s how close we were!!!! Oh it was so exciting!  :)  :)  :)  :)

September Fun

We had a pretty busy September and here are my favorite photos of the month.
We went to another awesome cookout at Oliverde. This train is outside of their building and the kids had to climb on it before we left. I got cheap one dollar Halloween masks the the kiddos and I to play with. And the shocker? It’s been well over a month since I bought them and they are still in one piece! Not bad for a buck  :)

Liberty and her class put on a cute play for grandparents day. They ran out of characters in the plays they were doing so they choose Liberty as a narrator. She had more lines than anyone and she did awesome! The teacher didn't come out and say it but I’m pretty sure she got picked as the narrator since she’s the best reader in the class  :)
One of the kids from the photo moved last week so there are now only ten in her class. I love living in the middle of nowhere.

Daddy did a remote (on location radio broadcast) at the Napa up in York. They brought out this awesome race car for kids and adults to check out. Lolo liked it best.

I decided to test out my camera’s ability to take night shots. I was very happy with how well they turned out.

September Soup Supper

This month I was excited because once again, I got to meet a new baby cousin. This one is an adorable little girl she’s a lot older than the baby boy from last month. She lives far away so this was the first time she was close enough for me to go see her. I didn’t take as many photos this month and the ones that I did are mostly the new little girl and her beautiful mommy.September 8, 2013 (2)September 8, 2013 (4)September 8, 2013 (8)September 8, 2013 (14)September 8, 2013 (13)September 8, 2013 (20)September 8, 2013 (26)September 8, 2013 (19)September 8, 2013 (22)September 8, 2013 (27)September 8, 2013 (28)September 8, 2013 (47)September 8, 2013 (46)
And finally I’ll end with the grumpy girls that like to hide in the other room and spend all their time on their cell phones because they are too cool to socialize with the rest of us… and no they aren’t teenagers, they are both in their 20’s.

*Trace*

I love this guy! He’s been on my “To See List” for awhile now. He did not disappoint! He played all of my favorites. He was absolutely hilarious. And he sang in falsetto!!!! I was shocked. He has this deep booming voice that vibrates in my ears every note he sings and then BAM! Falsetto! The show was really awesome and I’m very grateful to my husband and my good friend Charlie for taking me.
Oh, did I mention our seats were AWESOME!

This dude had me mesmerized the whole show. He reminds me of some old British rocker but I’m not sure which one. Oh and that crappy photo is the best I got. He was on the opposite side of the stage and he did not hold still.

After (and before) the concert we checked out some of the fair. This was our first year at the state fair since it moved to grand island and we really enjoyed it.
