Chris Young, Luke Bryan and Rascal Flatts

So Oh my Gosh, What a night. We left early so we would be there in time in case of stormy weather and I'm so happy we did. Up to Lincoln. about our halfway mark, the weather was great. Between Lincoln and Omaha seemed like we drove into the twilight zone. It got foggy fast, then came the snow and it came hard. We could hardly see 25 feet ahead of us. Cars kept spinning out. Ross was giving Eric directions on how to drive through the snow the WHOLE time and Eric was getting irritated. It was slow towards the end but we made it in time. I bought a shirt and got into our seats right as the first song started.
Now I'm super happy with my photos. I took over 300 photos and the ones I'm showing aren't all my favorites. I still haven't had time to really sit and look at them all just yet. The blurriness in some are not my cameras fault. It's the performers... Those boys just would not stand still for nothing :)
Chris Young was better than I hoped and I loved every minute of his show. He didn't sing my favorite song but since he was the first opener, he had a pretty short set. He still sang my second and third favorite songs, they were his radio hits, and a few new ones so I'm really looking forward to his next album now. Luke Bryan was a good performer and very friendly and flirty but his voice was nothing to write home about... Now let me explain. he performed his songs very well. He wasn't bad, but he was on stage with Chris Young and the boys of Rascal Flatts, all phenomenal singers, and his voice just didn't fit the show.
Rascal Flatts knocked the house down! Their stage was so cool. It was made up of a bunch of screens that would move around and show different videos and photos during there songs. The stage alone and all the amazing photos the showed were awesome. They fit the songs perfectly and made me cry twice. The boys were funny and crazy and since it was there ten year anniversary show, they played all there radio hits. None of my top favorites but still great songs and I knew them all by heart so I sang along the whole time... No, I could not speak the next morning :) The trip home was so slow. I cleaned all the snow off the car and broke a wind shield wiper off. We tried to drive without it but had to pull over and tie it back on within half a mile of leaving... That reminds me, I owe Ross a new shoe string :) The first 20 miles or so out of Omaha went so slow. Traffic was going an average of 40 miles per hour. Very slow but it was easier to see and the roads weren't as crowed. After we passed Lincoln it was pretty nice again. This trip would take us about 2 hours and we took 3 1/2 hours to get home. We got home about 2:30 and Eric had to leave for work again at 5:00. He slept the entire day when he got home after noon. Altogether, the trip was scary and the concert was amazing. So I'm choosing to remember it all as a wonderful night!

King Kids

We took a couple different family photos while at Gma's house but my favorite is our "Brady Bunch" photo. I think it turned out really well. First here's Logan trying to sneak in on our photo. Here is all the King kids together. And I only had to switch one head! Can you guess who's it was? :)
Tonight Eric is taking me out to see Rascal Flatts in Omaha. I'm so excited to go. I think I'm actually more excited about their opening bands. I love the Flatts but I'm obsessed with one of their openers. Luke Bryan and Chris Young are the opening acts... I'm so in love with Chris's voice and I'm really hoping he has a good set. I have two favorite songs by him and if he doesn't sing them both, I will come home mad :) Just kidding. I will be posting the concert pics soon. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend! Love to all!

My baby is Two!

No, I didn't forget, I'm just late in posting :)
Everyone has been busy working so we haven't done anything for his birthday yet. Well, no cake yet. He's been spoiled with pancakes and spaghetti (his favorites) and lots of cards and presents.
He has been overloaded with toy story and he loves it. One night we went out to the farm and he had his favorite Buzz with them. Grandpa had gotten him a very similar Buzz for his birthday. Logan was asleep when Grandpa gave it to him and when he woke up a couple hours later with two buzzes in his hand, he freaked out. He kept rubbing his eyes and looking both of the Buzzes over. He just could not figure it out. But he was very, very happy about it :)

I still don't think it's hit me that he is two yet and I'm certain when we finally sit down with cake and ice cream that I will be crying like a baby.
The photo above was not taken on his birthday but it is the newest photo I have of him. I promise to post more photos when we celebrate his birthday and especially when he's eating his cake... at two years old, he is still a very messy eater :)

Berti's First Snowman

Elle helped Berti make her first snowman. The snow was nice and fluffy but not sticky enough to roll into balls so they made a big mound, carved in a face and put branches in the sides for arms. Berti loved him!

*Minnesota Snow*

Over Two and a half feet of this beautiful fluff covered the ground. It was amazing! It was too deep for us to walk through so the boys shoveled us a walkway to get from one house to another.
Logan had thought the snow looked so cool... until he touched it. Once he realized it was cold, he was done. He stayed on the porch and waited to be let back inside.Berti was more interested. I have been telling her about how much fun snowball fights are and she really wanted to throw snow at Hildi :) What made it even better was Hildi really wanted to throw snow at Berti :) Gosh I love little girls. Neither one would go into the deep snow. They stayed on the driveway and picked up snow on the side to fight with.
Elle and Katey dove right in. It may be hard to tell but this is Katey making snow angels. Elle spent most of the time wrestling with her dog Nellie. That was fun to watch too :)
