Thanksgiving Pictures Part 3

Thanksgiving night, Kiana made the mistake of talking to a boy on the phone. Her cousin's couldn't let her go unpunished. They had to have fun with the situation. Ellen, Tate, Taylor, McKenna, Maggie, Katey, Jenna and yes even my husband, drew all over her stomach while she was talking to her friend Evan. The purple is washable marker. The red that Ellen used is nail polish. I hope it all washed off ok.

The next day, Liberty and Hildi wore the same shirt. My mom bought both shirts back in August. It was a total coincidence that we both brought them to Omaha and chose to put them on the girls the same day. We must be starting to think alike :)

As much as I tried, I could not get the two to pose together. I think I took over a hundred pictures of the two together and only a handful turned out any good :) I may not have been able to get them together but Hildi smiled very nice for me when she was riding the rocking horse.

Little side note: Elle was doing her workout when she dropped a weight on her finger. Thankfully it wasn't broken but it did bruise up pretty good. She says she has to keep it wrapped for almost two weeks. Please pray for a speedy recovery.

Thanksgiving Pictures Part 2

Thanksgiving afternoon, everyone got dressed up nice (well casual) excited for Aunt Kim's yummy dinner and cousin Jessie's Apple Pie :) We were all ready to go when we walked out to the parking lot and discovered mom had a flat tire. Not a low tire, FLAT! I have never seen a tire this flat before.Now my mom has a really cool and easy way to get the spare tire unlocked. However, we had no idea of this quick and easy way so Eric got underneath the car and banged on the lock with a hammer for almost an hour :) We didn't get the spare off. It was in there tight. Mom had to take the flat tire in to get fixed. Luckily it was a little hole and only cost 10 bucks to patch. I was afraid the tire was slashed and that she would have to buy a new one.

At least the little girls had fun playing in the car while we were waiting.

We still made it to Kim's before dinner. Eric was very hungry after working on the car :)

After dinner, Liberty treated us to her "beautiful" piano playing. I will have to get her lessons.

Thanksgiving Pictures Part 1

Cowboy, Liberty and I spent last week in Omaha for with my family for Thanksgiving. We had a great time and as always I had my camera with me most of the time :) We arrived in Omaha Wednesday evening and stayed until Saturday Afternoon.

This is Santa Clause. He was hanging down from the ceiling in our hotel...I don't think he was comfortable. He looks pretty flushed :)

Mom, the babies (alright more like toddlers) and I started off Thanksgiving day with a walk around downtown. It was a little cold but pretty nice. Everything was closed so we got to walk through alone. I don't think that happens much in Omaha.

Hildi insisted on bringing her stroller.

Berti and Hildi were actually nice to me and smiled for a few pictures.

Well, at least some of the time :)I think the pictures in front of the green door are my favorite from our walk.

Thank You Grandma!

Grandma King made Liberty a new winter hat. Well she LOVES it so much she actually smiled for my camera when I put the hat on her. When she's not wearing it, she's been pushing it around in the new stroller Grandma got for her. I will have to get pictures of the stroller. It's really cute.

Just a few random pictures I took while out and about (weird expression).

Anyways, I found a new bug :) This one is fuzzy and cute.

This is a tree in my neighbors yard. It's naked now. It didn't take long for all of the leaves to come off.

This weird fruit (yes it is fruit) was growing on the side of a field Ross was working in. Lowell says it's a poisonous apple. Cool huh? He says they used to plant them very close together around pens were pigs were kept. The plant is poisonous and full of thorns so the pigs couldn't get out. They are also used to get rid of box elder bugs. If you put the fruit in your basement or around the base of a box elder tree, the bugs will die...or leave you alone, not sure which :) As always, we end with some cute pictures of Liberty.

Just a quick Joke I thought you would all enjoy :)

News Flash:PRESS RELEASE - (AP) The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly. A great icon, the veteran Pillsbury spokesman was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, Sara Lee, Mrs. Paul and Captain Crunch. The gravesite was piled high with flours, as long-time friend, Aunt Jemima, delivered the eulogy, describing Doughboy as "a man who never knew how much he was kneaded.." Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very "smart" cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he even still, as a crusty old man, was considered a roll model for millions. Toward the end it was thought he would rise again, but alas, he was no tart. Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough, two children, John Dough, and Jane Dough, plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly father, Pop Tart. The funeral was held at 3:50 for about twenty minutes.

Happy Halloween...ummm...Yesterday :)

Liberty dressed up as a pirate. I was a giant pumpkin. Eric was Eric. His costume may seem easy but he has some silly shoes to fill. The night was fun. None of our guy friends could make it (busy with work) so it ended up being a girls night. Kelsey came down from South Dakota. I haven't seen here since June so I'm very happy she'll be spending the weekend with us. It's always fun to see her.

We watched a scary movie but it didn't get to any scary parts till near the end. And they were TOO scary so I didn't really watch because I am a wuss :) So over all the movie was B*O*R*I*N*G boring. But the night was still fun. I made lots of fun food, Jello with eyeballs, mud cake with worms, cupcakes (also with worms) pumpkin pie and deviled eggs. I know the deviled eggs seem out of place with all the sweets but I love them and will use any excuse to make them.

There were more trick or treaters than last year. Luckily I had enough candy. Eric took Liberty trick or treating to all of his old co worker's houses. He came home with lots of candy she couldn't eat (gum balls and jaw breakers) and somehow got a beer for himself. I have a feeling that house is popular with the daddies this year :) Liberty still had some good candy which she immediately smashed into her costume and onto my floor. I really should have seen it coming. She loves making messes. She also loves taking baths so it may be on purpose...hmmmm...

Anyways, I took some pictures so enjoy :)
