March!

March was a crazy rollercoaster month for weather. It finally got warm enough to go to the playground. The kids even wore shorts. And then it snowed the next day. Crazy.

This is the nicest photo I have of the kids together so far this year. Cute huh?

Liberty had her spring program. It was really fun. The kids did songs from famous Musicals. The older kids did Wizard of Oz and The lion King. Berti’s class did Annie. Logan is clearly not a fan of musicals. He fell asleep as soon as the band stopped playing and the kids started singing. It was funny.

I took probably the quickest road trip I have ever taken up to MN. I got their Friday night and left Sunday morning. When I did the math, I spent more time sleeping and driving than I did hanging out. It was still nice though. My best friends mom and I did a whole lot of photography stuff together. She invited me up to teach her some new things but she ended up teaching me a lot more. It was really fun and I hope we get to do it again sometime soon.

I finally made it to a Family soup supper. This is my first one since September. I have no idea what kept me so busy but I was very happy to be able to go. I won’t be missing that many in a row again. That was way too much time away from the family.

Kiana had a birthday. And since we are giant dorks, we wore these awesome green fuzzy cowboy hats.

February Catch-up

February was once again a horrible, slow on photos, month for me. I really don’t think I felt like me again until mid march and even then, it varied from day to day.

Eric’s radio station did a wedding and prom expo and Eric got to model one of the tuxes. I think the cut of the suit made Eric look larger than he is so I was a little bummed about that. Still handsome though.

We got lots of snow… and then nice warm days too… the weather has been a bit crazy here. I wish it’d just make up it’s mind. It hard to go to the park one day in shorts and then tell the kids we can’t go out because of blizzard conditions the next. So crazy.

January Catch up

So even though we discovered we were expecting the end of December, it really didn't hit me until January. I took less photos this month than I think I ever have. It’s crazy when you are too sick to pick up a camera. I didn't even think it was possible until this pregnancy.

I honestly don’t remember most of January. I really don’t. I think I spent the bulk of the month on the floor crying (like I said before, pregnancy has not been my friend) I only took photos on 3 days the whole month. First up was the Pepsi halftime show they did in Milligan. This was very exciting for our town. It was freezing cold but people from all over the state (I even saw plates from Iowa and Kansas) showed up to party and get free Pepsi. The performer was Lee Brice and he was really good. Eric got right up front and even got to meet him. He said he’s very sweet. I was somewhere in the side/back so my photos aren't as great but it was still fun and I’m glad I went. It took over 2 hours before all the cars finally cleared out of town. Most of them didn't understand that small towns are built in a circle so they went down side streets into neighborhoods trying to get out only to be trapped. It was kind of funny. Thank goodness we were close enough to walk :)

The second day I took photos was a cold and snowy one. No kid photos. I saw a blue jay outside and had to try a get a shot through the window.

The third day was Lolo’s birthday. My baby is 5! So exciting. We went bowling. He loved it.

Happy New Year! …almost 4 months ago… Ha! I’d like to promise I won’t get this far behind again but with a baby on the way, it may be hard to keep that promise… Wait, did I tell you all I was pregnant? Well I am :) We’re expecting the end of the summer. Don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet but I will share when I find out. After new years, we flew home to a whole lot of snow (photos to come) It was a really wonderful trip and I am so thankful we were able to go this year.
