Heidi Newfield

She was really amazing. For those who don't know her, she used to be the lead singer of Trick Pony. She sings Country music. Eric won tickets off the radio. He then stayed home with the kids so I could have a night out :) Isn't he awesome? I took his friend Dave. We share a love of live music. I don't think there is any concert we won't go to.
Anyways, back to Heidi, her voice is WAY better live than on her album. She really was great. After the show she stayed and signed autographs for anyone who wanted one. I did! Dave did too!
The concert was at an outdoor race track. We would have gone down next to the stage but it was raining all day and was too muddy. Our seats in the stand were second row, A little off center, maybe 30 feet from the stage, so pretty good. I think we got some great pictures but of course, my favorites are at the bottom, when Dave and I met her :)

Chainsaw Artist/County Fair

Our County fair is very small but since we usually go just for the animals, It suits us just fine. Liberty loved it, she pet all the bunnies and chickens and talked to the sheep. Her favorite were the cows. But she didn't say "hi cows" like she says "hi sheep" or " hi goats" She said "Moooo cows, Moooo" It was so funny. My favorite part of the fair was the chainsaw artist. We have a chainsaw artist at June Jubilee every year that does three or four pieces. He is great to watch. We didn't see the artist at the county fair since we got there later in the evening but he had all his sculptures lined up and there were a lot. I tried to get liberty to pose in front of them...Didn't go all that well but I get a few cute shots :) Enjoy.
*My favorite picture is Liberty next to the pig sculpture.

Quick Pics

"Brushing Gunnar" I hadn't been able to brush him in a while. He really enjoyed it. Didn't move a muscle the whole time. I didn't even tie him to anything. The picture might make it seem like we were next to a fence but we were really in the middle of his pen. I also got to brush Gus (our mini donkey) he loved it and also held still without me having to tie him to a post...Babe on the other hand had no interest, as always :)"Liberty and Lauren" I promise you, Liberty smiles all the time, she just puts her smile away when I take out the camera. She was having a great time jumping on the bed with Lauren until I said "Say Cheese" I think we have a mini Joseph on our hands :)"4th of July" These are some old ones from the fourth of July. We went to a BBQ at Lowell's Boss's house. It was a lot of fun and there was a painted horse there... Actually he was that thing that is a mix between a horse and a donkey but I can't remember what that is... :) Now you would think blue or red would be more appropriate for the fourth of July but for some reason they painted him green...I have no idea why. He was very sweet though. He pulled a buggie all afternoon for the kids.
