Eric the Idiot

Now I love my husband, and most of the time I try not to call him an idiot. However this time I can't help it. Below are pictures of Eric's arm ON FIRE! Yes, he did it on purpose. No, I don't know why.

Outside wth Logan

Last week the weather was so nice, Logan and I layed out on the grass, out at the farm. Such a beautiful day!

*My Baby's Overalls* and some cool Jacob news

Logan has his first pair of overalls! We went out to show grandpa and he had his on too :) The weather was actually pretty nice. Still cool but no wind so it was comfortable. Liberty somehow escaped my camera during this visit :)I got a call from Jacob for the first time when we were out on the farm. He hasn't started his training yet because there aren't enough students to start a class yet. He's hoping that they will be able to start in June. Otherwise they will have to wait until October.

Even though the Marines are a small minority at the base, they are still the most feared. He says all members of the Air force get hazard pay solely because the Marines are there. He was hanging out in a group of five Marines and they were broken up because they are too much of a deadly force. The Army out numbers the Marines 100 to 1 but five marines is a deadly force :) I think it is hilarious.

He also said when you go to the cafeteria, there is one side with healthy food and one side with cheeseburgers and pizza (the "FAT" side) Everyday you will see about 1000 chubby Army guys on the fat side, and 50 in shape Marines one the other side :)

Jacob has also been selected to take part in a retirement ceremony for a Major who has been enlisted for almost 30 years. I think he's only about mom's age but Jay says 30 years is as long as you're aloud to serve. Jay is very excited about the ceremony and honored that he was one of the few picked to take part. I think it will be a great experience.

Jacob is getting some time off around memorial day. He has asked permission to come and see Cowboy and I. If he doesn't get to see us, he will be sent home to MN and will be doing recruiting duties the whole time. So if he isn't told he has to stay on base, hopefully some of us will be able to see him in a few weeks.

Aunt Kims!!

This past weekend, Grandma and Grandpa made a stop in Omaha before heading up to MN. Cowboy, the babies and I went up to Aunt Kim's to see them. It was a lot of fun. Dinner was great. It was uncle Peter's birthday so we had a really rich chocolate cake. Seriously, when we cut into it, the frosting was almost an inch thick. Good but too rich for me. I didn't even have seconds and you all know I love chocolate :)

Holly and Tad were there so I got to hear about the wedding. Holly held Logan most the time. I think she would be a great baby sitter if we lived closer. Erik was there and he seemed so different. First of all, he looked amazing! From now on we are calling him "stud muffin" :) He seamed to smoke a lot less than normal and he wasn't attached to his cell. It was really nice. Kiana has a super cute new haircut. Aunt Kim did a great job. Joseph was quite as always and Tate is still her adorable self.

Mommy's Makeup

I should know by now that silence in the house means she's up to something. She came out of my room with a huge smile on her face. From a distance I thought she had a black eye. I ran over to pick her up and noticed it was just makeup (thank goodness). She did a pretty good job for a two year old. It was only around her eyes, nowhere else, and she didn't make a mess in my bathroom so I was happy.

Babies at Home

While liberty still likes to look away from the camera by herself, I have been getting her to pose nice with Logan a lot lately and a few times with me. Otherwise I have to bribe her with my CD player. Her favorite thing to listen to is Alvin and the Chipmunks.
