Stormy Nebraska

The below is not fog, rain or snow… It’s DIRT! That’s right, in Nebraska we get dirt storms. Fun huh?

I took these photos after a big rain storm while visiting some friends down south. We had a bbq in their garage and watched the whole thing. It was pretty fun. Apparently there was a tornado near our house so when we got home we had a TON of messages from our neighbors and friends asking where we were and if we wanted to come over (since we have no basement, our neighbors are always inviting us over during storms) It was sweet and funny.

Miranda Lambert

I took my friend Jamie and my cousin Nicki to see Miranda in concert a few weeks ago. This is the fourth time I had seen her (twice as an opener and twice as a headliner)

Her first opener was Jerrod Neiman, only knew one of his songs but he rocked.

 

Her second opener was Chris Young. I am obsessed with this man. He has the absolute best voice in Country music right now. I love all his music. I have all three of his albums and this is the 2nd time I have seen him live. Truthfully, I would have gone to this concert for him alone. He’s funny and so hot, Miranda even called him the eye candy of the tour  Haha, but seriously, look him up. You won’t regret it, his voice is heaven on earth.

Miranda, as always, was absolutely amazing. She completely brought the house down. She is a serious performer and one I suggest everyone go see. She brought out her side group Pistol Annies during the show and they did a couple songs. They were so good. And so funny too. You could tell these girls all had fun personalities. All over fantastic concert and I will be going again next year.

Lonestar

I recently discovered that the are actually a few lakes within 15 minutes driving distance from me. When I first saw Lonestar I was so mad at my hubby that I wanted to drown him in it. We’ve lived in this same house for over 5 years now and there was a lake within short driving distance the whole time?!?!? Oh I was mad. This would have made our last few summers so fun. The lake is actually a large spring so the water is pretty warm. It’s full of trees so it’s not really a safe place to go boating but the swimming is great. These photos were from the second time we went there with our friend Chris and his girlfriend, the first time I went was when I did and Engagement shoot for my friends Erick and Jamie (I’ll post those later)
